Scholarship Home Aide (Relief)

* Florence, AL - Florence Scholarship Home
* Tuscaloosa, AL - Tuscaloosa Scholarship Home
Job Summary: The Scholarship Home Aide works closely with the Scholarship Home Manager to provide a living environment that is conducive to the academic and personal growth of students. The Scholarship Home Aide, as needed, will provide transportation for students. The Scholarship Home Aide at the Tuscaloosa Scholarship home works with the Transitional Living Program (TLP) residents to provide basic living skills.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED Certificate) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. One year of experience working youth required. A minimum of six (6) months experience working with children and/or families in a therapeutic environment preferred. Previous experience working with adolescents preferred. Physical health that is adequate to lift and carry groceries, luggage, move funriture, etc., (up to forty (40) pounds) is required. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. Proficiency in computer use and understanding basic word processing and spreadsheet software required. Valid driver’s license from state of residence required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using the English language required.
