About the Presenters
Dr. Judy Manning, Director of UMCH Central
Region, holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's
degree in Counseling and Human Development, and an Ed.D in
Child and Youth Services. Dr. Manning is a Licensed Professional
Counselor. Dr. Manning is also on the faculty of the University
of Phoenix Online, teaching on-line college courses in human
behavior and psychology.
Rev. LuAnne Wages-Smith holds a Master of Christian
Education and a Master of Divinity from Candler School of
Theology. She has a two-year post-graduate residency in Marriage
and Family Therapy. Rev. Smith is certified as a member of
the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and is an
ordained Elder in the Alabama West Florida Conference of the
United Methodist Church. Rev. Smith has served her conference
for over 30 years as a minister's wife, a director of Christian
Education, an associate pastor, a pastor and now as the Chaplain
of the United Methodist Children's home.
