Our Speaker's Bureau
We have a growing list of very talented volunteers, staff members and UMCH alumni that are willing to come speak to your group or congregation. You can help this ministry tremendously by allowing us to share the good news about how we help children … and how others can join our efforts with giving their time, talents and gifts.
Our speakers can give wonderful presentations from 5 minutes to up to 30 minutes in length. Our Director of Spiritual Care and volunteer Clergy can also give the sermon if you need a fill-in minister for the day.
Volunteer to Serve on the Bureau
Do you have a passion for this ministry and enjoy public speaking? The challenge that we face is being able to spread the good news about this very important ministry to as many people as possible! By volunteering in this special way, you are helping us overcome this challenge by increasing our presence in United Methodist churches throughout North Alabama, and Alabama - Northwest Florida Conferences. There may also be opportunities to reach out to other groups, like civic organizations, schools and others interested in helping children.
We will provide you with many tools and instructions that will help support you in sharing information about the Children’s Home ministry, including promotional materials and media, sample outlines with true children’s stories and lots of basic information on UMCH. And we will always ask you before scheduling you for any engagements.
